Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board JKSSB. has announced 5000 vacancies for the post of Constable General Duty in the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The online application process will start on July 11, 2023, and will end on August 10, 2023. The educational qualification required for the post of Constable (GD) is 10+2 (with Science) from a recognized board. The candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

The age limit for the post of Constable (GD) is 18 to 28 years as on January 1, 2023. The candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes will get a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit.

The selection process for the post of Constable (GD) will consist of a written examination, physical endurance test, and medical examination. The written examination will be of an objective type and will be conducted in two stages. The first stage will be a preliminary examination and the second stage will be the main examination.

The physical endurance test will consist of a 1000-meter run, 800-meter run, and 400-meter race. A medical examination will be conducted to check the physical and mental fitness of the candidates.

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination, physical endurance test, and medical examination.

Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board JKSSB has invited online applications for the recruitment of 5000 Constable (General Duty) vacancies. The last date to apply is July 25, 2023.

The eligibility criteria for the post are:

• Age: 18 to 28 years as on January 1, 2023

• Education: 10+2 from a recognized Board

• Height: 165 cm for males and 155 cm for females

• Chest: 80 cm for males and 75 cm for females

• Weight: 50 kg for males and 45 kg for females

The selection process will consist of a written test, physical endurance test, and medical examination. The written test will be of 100 questions, each of 1 mark. The time duration for the test will be 2 hours. The syllabus for the written test will be based on the syllabus of the 10+2 level.

The physical endurance test will consist of a 1000-meter run, a 50-meter dash, and a 10-meter high jump. The medical examination will be conducted by a medical board appointed by the JKSSB.

The candidates who are shortlisted after the written test and physical endurance test will be called for the medical examination. The candidates who are declared fit in the medical examination will be considered for the final selection.

The application form can be filled online on the JKSSB website. The application fee is Rs. 100 for general category candidates and Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
