The Punjab Government has released a notification for the recruitment of 914 Head Constables. The online application process will start on May 9, 2023, and will end on June 7, 2023.
The following are the eligibility criteria for the post of Head Constable:
- Age: The candidate must have been born on or after January 1, 1990.
- Education: The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
- Physical Standards: The candidate must fulfill the physical standards as per the Punjab Police Rules.
The selection process for the post of Head Constable will consist of the following:
- Written Test: The written test will be of 100 marks and will be of objective type.
- Physical Efficiency Test: The physical efficiency test will consist of running, long jump, high jump, and pull-ups.
- Medical Examination: The medical examination will be conducted to check the fitness of the candidate.
- Interview: The interview will be conducted to assess the personality and suitability of the candidate.
The candidates who are shortlisted after the written test, physical efficiency test, and medical examination will be called for an interview. The final selection will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test, physical efficiency test, medical examination, and interview.
The application fee for the post of Head Constable is Rs. 1000/- for General Category candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The application fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, or net banking.
